I previously contacted 2 other companies on the Island and was lead to believe that the companies in question where reputable companies, how wrong I was !! My cable had broken so I called out ****** aerials, who told me I needed a new aerial, I argued that it was the cable , but he insisted that it was the aerial, so he changed it, then he billed me £200 pounds for it, he told me I would get digital on it, so off I went to buy a digibox, I put it on and it didn't work, so I called him back and he then said he wouldn't guarantee it, I was livid, so I reported him to trading standards,
the aerial then fell down after a month or so, so I called ****** aerials,
they turned up and said I needed a new bracket to go round the chimney, I said it had just been done and they said it hasn't been done for years, and wanted £150 to put it right, so I told them to sod off too, rip me off !!!
I was down the pub with my mate from Alverstone and he said I should have called Mike at Wight Aerials so I did.
Mike and Dave turned up and began by looking at the bracket, they said it would be £50 to put a new bracket up there, including the labour, which I was extremely happy with, better than the £150 ****** aerials wanted,
when mike got up there, to his horror he found that the aerial that had been put up in the first place was completely wrong and wouldn't work properly for digital in this area, Mike did prove it to me on the old (new) aerial that ****** aerials had installed 1 month ago, so it had to be changed again !! Mike got my digital working perfectly, I asked Mike what the job would have cost through him in the first place for a complete new install for my job and he said it would have cost only £145 incl vat.
So be warned people, there are cowboys about, on this island, but Mike gets my vote, he knows his stuff, thanks guys u are the best in my book.

Our very sincere thanks to Mike and Dave for the two jobs they carried out on the 28th and 29th April 2006. Firstly for installing the loft aerial allowing us to once again watch TV on the big screen, and secondly for rectifying the shoddy workmanship of the Sky engineer who installed a Sky Box and undid all their previous work. We found them to be exceptionally helpful, polite, patient and tidy at all times and will always without hesitation both call upon them again and recommend their services to others. Best Regards.

Mike came out to visit us after we became increasingly fed up with paying monthly charges for Sky channels we never used. We wanted some advice about what type of aerial to have and how the freeview system works. Mike was extremely helpful and honest, we would have no hesitation in recommending Wight Aerials to anyone interested in upgrading their aerial or looking for good, sound advice on what's the best course of action.

I have used Wight Aerials on two occasions and found

Wight aerials were recommended to me by
Slade electrical, Ventnor. They, (Mike) provided me with an extremely
rapid, efficient, sympathetic and courteous service. It was a most
impressive response to a " cri de coeur " to be able to watch a
particular concert from the proms not broadcast on normal BBC channels.
It was worth every penny. Well done to Wight Aerials. I shall use you
again when the occasion arises.

I cannot recommend Wight Aerials highly
enough, mike takes pride in his work. Did an excellent job. Explained
how to work the freeview and was so patient and made sure I understood
what to do. Usually with a remote with more than 6 buttons,1 for on and
1 for off, the rest for the 4 channels, sends me into a flap, for value
for money he cannot be beaten, and would not except payment from me
until I was happy with the work he had done. There was no mess at all
and he was a really nice bloke.
What I like the most about paying for the work was that you knew
exactly how much the job will be and Mike will take as long as it takes
to make sure the work is done properly.

After being let down by another "reputable"
aerial company on the island twice,and after the second time they still
didn't get it working properly, I called out wight aerials to put it
right .
They came out the same evening,out of hours and arrived within half an
hour to my flat.
The dish hadn't been installed properly,so they re-sited it away
from the trees .and now works with no problems at all.The job was
completed in less than an hour and I can now finally enjoy my
viewing,say thanks to mike for an outstanding job ,well done.and will
always be glad to recommend you.

We have used mike several times,for many TV related
jobs.The principal job was to completely re-cable for the lounge,
kitchen and two bedrooms for sky installation.An excellent job done at
a very good price. Mike has responded well when necessary to help out
"oldies" with the new technology.No matter how big or small the job he

It doesn't have to be a TV aerial.
I required a mast for a weather station - along came Mike.
No problem, a mast was erected and the equipment installed in less than
an hour.
